Basic HTML accessibility checker

Paste a URL and we'll check the page's raw HTML for a handful of clear-cut accessibility problems. It's free, checks nothing you don't ask it to, and doesn't store the URL or the result. It also won't tell you a page is accessible — see why below.

What this can't tell you

This checks the page's raw HTML only — it doesn't run JavaScript, so a page built with a framework like React or Vue may look almost empty to it even if the rendered page is fine (or vice versa). It also can't see:

  • Colour contrast
  • Keyboard focus visibility and keyboard traps
  • Content added or changed by JavaScript after the page loads
  • Video and audio captions or transcripts
  • Whether the page is actually usable with a screen reader

Automated tools in general — this one included — catch an estimated 20–50% of real accessibility issues. A clean result here is not the same as an accessible page.
